Dear Patients,

As of March 1, 2012, my medical practice will be closed, as I have accepted the position of director of gynecologic robotic surgery with The Permanente Medical Group, Kaiser South Sacramento. For several years, it has been my personal and professional goal to be at the forefront of laparoscopic and robotic surgery, not only a local level, but at a regional and national level as well. Kaiser Permanente has offered me a platform from which I can strive for excellence in this field, something I could not do as a solo practitioner.

This decision has been the hardest decision I have ever made in my career, and I assure you, it has not been taken lightly. It is still sinking in, as professionally it is a large upward move, but personally, I know I will greatly miss my practice. 

We will facilitate all document transfers to the physician of your choice, and if you were unable to reach us before the end of February, your records will be held at the office of Dr. Michael Burman. My office line (916-453-3440) will be redirected to his office for the next six months, and my former employee, Cesilia, will work with you to achieve continuity of care.

For those of you looking for a new OB/GYN, I trust and recommend the following physicians, who are located in the same building as my former practice:

My journey over the last two years has been a wonderful experience, and I hope that you feel you have received the care that I always strive to provide. I am forever indebted to each and every one of you for your support, but most importantly, for your trust. I can only hope my small contribution in your lives was of some value, as caring for you was of great value in mine. 

If you ever become a Kaiser member, and need complex gynecologic or robotic surgery, let your primary Kaiser OB/GYN know you were my patient, and they will gladly refer you to me. It would give me great joy to be able to continue to care for you in the future. 

I will miss all of you.
