Testimonials

I met Dr. Ramos in 2005, not long before my 28 year old sister died from breast cancer. Because of my high-risk status, I was looking for a doctor who would be cautious with my health and take my concerns seriously, which is exactly what I found in Dr. Ramos.

After years of putting it off, I decided to have surgery and Dr. Ramos was incredible. The quality of care I received from him, for such a minor procedure was unprecedented. Whenever I called his office, I was either put right through to him, or waited no less than two hours for a call back. When he talks to you, it is with great compassion and concern and he makes you feel as though you are his only patient. He is an amazing listener, who is willing to admit what he doesn’t know, does research when needed and encourages second opinions.

I recently worked with him on a project, and in getting to know him better, I can honestly say that he cares deeply about his patients. He believes this is a calling, that every person should be treated with respect and have the best care possible. His patients are always on his mind, and he gives his absolute best at all times.

During my sister’s illness, I dealt with dozens of doctors, and as amazing as some of them were, from the most prestigious institutions in the country, no one’s level of dedication, care and passion could compare to that of Dr. Ramos’s.

I feel VERY fortunate to have him as my OB/GYN, and as evident from this testimonial, cannot say enough good things about him.

I'm an OB RN who met Dr Ramos while pregnant and seeing a different dr group. The other dr group let me fall through the cracks (I'm a high risk patient). He told me how he could help me and that same day the other group once again cancelled my appointment. Dr Ramos kept up with his promises and was great! I feel privileged to not only be his patient but to work with him in the hospital. Great Dr, Great guy!

The gratitude I have for Dr. Ramos and his staff cannot be expressed in words. After delivering my first born 10 weeks premature, I was terrified when I discovered that I was pregnant again.  I was referred to Dr. Ramos by a group of perinatologists for my "high risk" pregnancy.  Again, I had complications throughout the pregnancy and I am so grateful that I was under the care of Dr. Ramos.  He consistently addressed all of my fears and concerns, was easily available to talk to or be seen in the event of an emergency, and was very thorough in addressing and treating my various issues. His compassion and dedication towards his patients truly shows. I would highly recommend Dr. Ramos to anyone and everyone looking for an exceptional OB/GYN.

Where to begin? Dr. Ramos has been a superhero in my eyes. He has gone above and beyond for us. I just had my first baby on August 6th, and had the most amazing experience.  Anytime I felt confused or concerned with a hospital policy/procedure, I was on the phone with Dr. Ramos. He would answer all my questions and concerns with sincerity and understanding.

Each appointment I had at Dr. Ramos was pleasant and never time consuming. He likes to sit down with his patients, giving them the opportunity to ask any questions. He is genuinely concerned for you. You can see it in his eyes. He cares.

Dr. Ramos will deliver all my babies, and I will be a patient of his for life. I am a fan! Thank you Dr. Ramos, you truly are one in a million.

I am notoriously and deeply cynical about doctors. I rarely go if I don't have to, let alone to the lady doctor.

However.....I had some *ahem* problems. And they weren't fun. So, completely randomly I picked Dr. Ramos mainly based his proximity to my house. What a lucky pick.

He's the first doctor I think I've ever been to in my life who actually sits you down in his office TO TALK when he first meets you. And he actually listens. He's not just looking to put notes in your chart...we sat and talked. He actually listened to me. He didn't talk down to me. We had a conversation about what was going on and what I wanted to do.

Ultimately I had to have a somewhat painful and unpleasant procedure in his office. His staff were all so sweet and comforting, he completely and throughly explained everything, and made sure I was totally comfortable before, during, and after. If I *had* to do *that*, I'm lucky I found such an empathetic doctor with such a wonderful bedside manner.

Really ladies, if he's on your insurance plan, I'd give him a shot if you're in the market for a new lady parts doctor. I can't imagine being more comfortable having to put your feet in stirrups.

I tend to move a lot for my job, which means I've had about five obgyn's in the last six years... Dr. Ramos is by far the best I've had the good fortune to encounter.

Being new to the Sacramento area I've been relying heavily on Yelp; mainly for restaurants to try or a good dry cleaning place, but this was my first time using it for an important purpose (not to say that good food isn't important). That being said, thank goodness for Yelp or I probably wouldn't have even found, let alone considered, Dr. Ramos. The man is quality care through and through.

The first immediate difference I noticed was after being called back for my appointment; I wasn't taken to the exam room (which happens at every other obgyn office), rather I was brought to his office to talk. Along with talking to me (like a real person) and getting to the heart of my concerns, the real benefit of this was that I was comfortable with sharing everything, which we need to do with our doctors, but, let's be honest, it can be hard spilling everything to someone you just met. The other reason why it was comfortable is that the consult took place in the office instead of the exam room, so I'm sitting there in *my* clothes (not a paper gown), in a comfy chair (not an exam table with my feet about to be put in stirrups), and he talked to me and asked questions based on concerns I wrote down on my initial paperwork.

The next noticeable difference was after being taken to the exam room. Along with not having to wait very long after getting undressed, the exam was quick as well (I was there for my annual exam).

When that was done, and getting dressed, it was back to the office for a debriefing. This was also a major difference that I really liked. So many times after the doctor finishes an exam he or she will talk a little about his or her initial conclusions, write a prescription, and then disappear. Dr. Ramos is the first doctor to meet with me and really talk about the exam and explain what happens next. Again, it's in a comfortable setting which makes it less intimidating and more relaxing.

Oh! Can't believe I almost forgot! The prescription! There was no prescription written, instead his awesome staff (I didn't give them as much love as I should have in this review, but they are stellar as well) filed the prescription directly with my pharmacy on-line. So no carrying a slip of paper and waiting for it to be filled. My prescription was ready and waiting when I got there.

I'm so glad I found Dr. Ramos and highly recommend him to any woman in need of a quality, competent, and comforting obgyn.

Dr. Ramos and his staff are excellent!

I started seeing Dr. Ramos about halfway through my second pregnancy after having problems getting my original OB/GYN to take my medical concerns seriously. The doctor takes his time getting to know you, and your medical history. You are a real person to him, not just "Patient X".

He's more than competent, on-time, and caring. The trifecta! Really, I can't say enough great things about Dr. Ramos. I feel lucky to have found him and I would recommend him to any women, but especially to those who haven't found an OB/GYN that they are comfortable with.

I met Dr. Ramos with my 1st pregnancy in 2006. At our appointment he made me and my husband feel very comfortable, took his time with us and never rushed us out the door. All around, I had a pretty normal pregnancy until delivery, when Dr. Ramos told us that he recommended that I deliver C-section, feeling very comfortable, we did. I had a pretty quick recovery and thought it went great. Over the next couple years I saw Dr. Ramos for regular visits and still he was very caring and answered any questions that I had.

I started seeing more of Dr. Ramos when I started having miscarriages in early 2008. After a 2 more miscarriages, Dr. Ramos recommended we run some tests. We then meet with him and were told that I had a blood clot disorder preventing me from keeping a pregnancy. Dr. Ramos put that aside and said, that’s ok we will get work through that, and we did. We found out we were pregnant in July of 2009 and immediately started medicine to prevent another heartbreaking miscarriage.

I can honestly say that if I didn’t have the expertise and care of Dr. Ramos, Im not sure how this pregnancy would have happened. It was a very long 9 months but he delivered a healthy little girl to me and my husband. She is truly our miracle. Dr. Ramos is an awesome OB-GYN and caring person. I know with the help of him, I will have another healthy baby.

Thanks for caring as much as you do, Dr. Ramos.

Dr. Ramos delivered two of my kids, both of them were C/Section and he did an awesome job; he took care of me throughout the whole pregnancy very well. He actually listens to his patients and gives really good advice. I would recommend Dr. Ramos 100% to people I know and don't know. I'm so glad I chose him as my doctor and I will always see him for anything I need in the future. Dr. Ramos, thank you so much for everything you did for me, and for how well you take care of your patients. And I love your staff - Whittney and Cesilia are the best.
